Welcome to the King William Pub and Dining Rooms
The King William is nationally recognised as one of the finest traditional freehouses in the country, offering award winning British food, an excellent wine list, four fantastic real ales from local microbreweries and refreshing Somerset cider. Our kitchen team creates truly delicious food that is seasonal and locally sourced, the menus are changed daily with specialties such as sirloin of English beef, served rare, alongside a piece of braised shin; Cornish plaice with leek and mussel broth and our own glazed ham proving popular with regulars and newcomers alike. We also keep an excellent selection of fine wines and a range of imported draught lager including Birra Moretti, Amstel and Heineken. Food is available for lunch Wednesday to Sunday and every evening. The Dining rooms are open Wednesday to Saturday evenings where diners can enjoy our food in a more formal yet stylish setting, away from the hustle and bustle of the bar.
Lunch Offer
Throughout the week we run a lunch offer which offers great value for money. We have a full menu including seasonal dishes such as game pie and crab mayonnaise alongside old favourites like the famous melt-in-your-mouth slow roast Warleigh Lodge pork belly. A two course lunch on Wednesday through to Friday, served from 12pm til 2.40pm, will cost £15.50, or you can go all out and treat yourself to the full three courses costs £19.50. For those who want a lighter alternative our bar menu – including our outstanding beer battered fish and chips – is always available.
(Remember we are closed for lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays)

Private Dining at King William
Our private dining room is now open, it can seat 25 people so if you’re thinking of having a dinner party come and talk to us about the menu and we will cook what you want. And do the washing up.
So good it brings a tear to the eye... well worth making the train journey from London, even just for lunch
